Un voyage polyphonique où le sang des colonies se mêle au sucre de la consommation naissante, pour que 2026 puisse enfin regarder 1954 en face.

Between the crashing of empires at Dien Bien Phu and the ignition of the Algerian Aurès, this interventionist play explores the fractures of a pivotal year. From the “taboo of taboos” regarding systemic violence to the stifling silences of the Iron Curtain, and from the censored confessions of Simone de Beauvoir to the accidental invention of the Carambar, this work deconstructs the myths of modernity. On stage, the ghosts of Tonkin cross paths with the icons of Saint-Germain-des-Prés to confront the audience with a raw reality: memory is not a frozen sanctuary, but a constant struggle against oblivion. A polyphonic journey where the blood of colonies mingles with the sugar of emerging consumerism, allowing 2026 to finally look 1954 in the eye.
