Mr. Longshadow

Filippo lives in Rome, in an apartment where his window looks out onto walls and more windows—but every Sunday he finds freedom at Villa Borghese: among daisies, tadpoles, and carousels. His favorite moment? Meeting Mr. Longshadow, the man with the balloons. One day, while gripping the strings of all the colorful balloons, Filippo is lifted off the ground and taken on a journey to the mysterious place where all balloons go… the Moon.
There, he meets a “lunatic”—a child just like him—and discovers a crater filled with dreams: trees, flowers, yogurt-scented springs, and children from all over the world, ready to float back home with hearts full of wonder.
